1. The Ageas Bowl
Home of Hampshire Cricket: The Ageas Bowl is an iconic state-of-the-art cricket ground designed by the international award-winning architect, Sir Michael Hopkins. Home to Hampshire Cricket since its construction in 2000, the ground has developed quickly into one of the leading venues in the country. Just under 10,000 seats in the perfect bowl provide unobstructed viewing for every spectator and the only permanent ‘world-class’ floodlights in the country allow the entertainment to continue after dark.
2. Beaulieu - New Forest
Visit the National Motor Museum and see over 250 vehicles from World Land Speed Record Breakers to the earliest examples of motoring. Explore the rooms of Palace House and Beaulieu Abbey before taking a ride on the high-level monorail and the 1912 Veteran Bus.
3. Marwell Wildlife Zoo
Set in a hundred acres of delightful Hampshire countryside, Marwell is a relaxing and fascinating Zoological Park at the heart of wildlife conservation. There is easy access from the M3 and M27 with free parking.
4. Paultons Park | Peppa Pig World
The family theme park with over 50 wonderful rides and attractions included in the admission price, has two terrific new attractions for 2011 – Trekking Tractors, a delightful family ride that meanders around a farm yard themed track; and Gold Rush Falls, where you can challenge the family to a game of Adventure Golf through an abandoned Californian gold mine.
5. Exbury Gardens
Visit the world-famous Rothschild Collection of rhododendrons and azaleas, in the heart of the New Forest National Park. Explore 200 acres on foot, by chauffeur driven buggy or travel on the Exbury Gardens Steam Railway. Offering peace, tranquillity and relation all year round. The neighboring ”Exbury Maize Maze” is open during the summer holidays.
6. Intech Science Centre
Intech family science centre, Winchester is an under cover, all-weather visitor attraction and education centre. There are 100 hands-on interactive science and technology exhibits, ideal for the child aged 5-12. Programme of holiday activities and science shows. Easy access from the M3 or A31.
7. Blue Reef Aquarium
Take the ultimate undersea safari and enjoy close encounters with sea horses, sharks, frogs, otters and hundreds of incredible aquatic creatures. Explore the dazzling beauty of a coral reef and journey through the spectacular tropical ocean display in a transparent underwater tunnel.
8. WestQuay Shopping Mall
WestQuay, located in the heart of Southampton city centre, boasts over 90 stores spread over three shopping levels.
